hey fellow fishermen, I have these two nice mast with reels and went out and bought two gimble mounts. Now all I need is the planer boards. My question is, Am I wasting my time with all this gear if i probably won't ever have more than four lines in the water? thanks marty

I'd say definately worth it. Some days, especially in clear water, the lines out away from the boat do all the fish. It also lets you get your lines in the shallow water without having to run the boat in there and chance a broken prop.

Marty - Definitely go for it. Somedays it's strictly a rigg'r bite, other days a Dipsey bite, others a planner bite & others a combo of all. Early in the season just about everyone has at least one board out. (guess that tells me something...)

if you are only running four rods i don't know that all that equipment is entirely necessary I run inlines and have just as much success as I did with my mast and have less trouble deploying them.
