Hey all,

I'm setting up my planer board system I bought this winter and I still need to purchase four rods and reels to run off of it. I've got an oversupply of Bass Pro gift cards and I can basically purchase 4 combo's without paying any real cash. They have one combo that looks enticing (http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/store ... escription)

What are your opinions on the Daiwa Accudepth series? Worth the bucks or should I look at something else? Also, what length rod is best for planer boards?

Thanks,

AW.

the Accudepth plus is a great reel. I've been running them on my braid and mono divers the past 3 seasons and they are very nice reels, especially for the price.

Those are fine reels, and will work for years. The Sealine are more reel and more$ so your just getting what you pay for. Rod length is preference but I like a 8'-6" or longer off the planer boards just because I can navigate the lines around one another easier but I have seen guys use 6' rods with no problem. You will be fine with any of those pole combos.
