Could'nt pass up the stained and muddy water this afternoon and decided to go out for a couple hours this afternoon, started trolling from the pierheads east, didnt get a hit until we hit the second bluff, turned back and trolled to the piers. Ended up with 4 browns with the largest being 11 pounds. Stinger Goby in stingray size has been the hot spoon this year so far. All fish came in about 10 feet of water on the inside of the mudline in the green colored water.

Nice Catch !! hey do you know if any one has been doing anything out in the deeper 70 - 100 ft water ? Last year we did well on lead core out there ... curious if some kings are out cruising yet ..... Nice job on that 11lb ...

I did about the troll this morning as defiance1 did with one hook up but lost it. Not a lot marking in 10 fow however just off the first drop 13-17 fow marked lots but no takers. Water was still a little stained but hardly any wind.

Defiance1 do you use the riggers to keep spoons down or just add snap weights to the line.

Thanks for any help

I run spoons off the downriggers, 2 middle downriggers 50ft back and desired depth and outside riggers 75-100 back. Planer boards with stickbaits 150-200feet back. This year so far (4 trips) the downriggers have been taking most of the browns.
