I'm looking at a '94 21' Sylvan Offshore with a 4.3 V6 Merc...

does anbody have any experiance or opinion about these boats

I have a 19' Islander now and looking for a little bigger rig

i have a 87 22 ft islander sylvan and have very happy with it it has a shallow deadrise so it ant no 4 ft 30 mph wave cutter the difference betweem 18 ft (my old boat) and 22ft was amazing in 2 to 3 ftrs and fishing in 4 to 5 ftrs is very doable., done it many many times in derbys....but never fun in any boat....Mine has been a wonderful fishing platform ...now mine has the 4 cyc with the orig moter 3.0 it would max out at 33 mph with 2 people and all gear 4 guys would knock off a few more mph.. then i had to replace and found good deal on a 120 hp 4 cyc had to replace prop (pitch) to get any performance back.... the 4.3 should make that boat fly if all is well id recomend it...

Thanks for the info Ray, I love the Starcraft but I need a little more room, I'm going this weekend to give the Sylvan a good look
