SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

Well it was pretty choppy this weekend with the lake getting destroyed by west and north west winds in fairhaven, so today we finally figured we'd give her a chance, headed out of the chute and were forced to go east and fish the protected water by the pier, didnt go more than 1/2 mile east and looped back, The water was GREAT and getting better!!!!! Anyways got a late start, first fish boated was a nice 6 lb coho around noon, and then once we boated that we got another rod with another goby superslim spoon on, fish was about 4 lbs. The last brown came on a firetiger j-11 jointed rapala, fish was 8 lbs. On the way back in we flatlined the firetiger rapala, and all the sudden the rod starts screaming. Set back about 150 ft it quickly grew to 200, then 225...Unfortunately we never saw the fish, and it broke us off. Not a bad little quick trip, fishing in fairhaven should be great this week!!!

Sounds like a great time! I've had my light line brown rigs destroyed doing the same thing! It sure is a hoot hearing those reels scream!

Good luck/Eric
