LongLine

Beautiful day to see if the boat’s working. Man it’s been a long winter. Launched at the River. Almost didn’t, as battery needed a little help. Man that water level is low! Finally got her going & headed out:

Headed over to Russell & the Ponds. The River looked like fall combat fishing around 8:00 with maybe 12 boats hugging the mouth. Clear sky. Very slight SE Wind. Quite a few birds in the 15-30 FOW range. Lot of the diving ones. (only saw 2 seagulls the whole morning)

Here’s the first one of the season.

Ended up 4 for 4. All Browns. Nothing huge; all kind of chunky. here’s the biggest:

All on rigg’rs; all within 3 ft of the bottom; all with DW SS on long leads. (nbk & I don’t know what the other is called – was green)

Ventured out to 50 FOW. Saw a couple sitting on the bottom, but not much, so came back in.

A pretty good start to the season.

Luck to all

Longline, your right about combat trolling in front. I was out there today. We really put a beating on The cohos This am. Real healthy chunky fish. The clearer water was best for us. Took a nice atlantic also. Good To hear about the browns. Good job
