Fin Clipped Kings

In March 2008, the NYSDEC began adipose fin clipping all Chinook salmon (Kings) stocked in Lake Ontario. These 2 yr old fish will probably now be up to 12-13 Lbs and 31-32†long this year.

If you catch & report Kings up to this size, please mention whether they’re clipped or not.

The adipose is the fin on top of the fish, just in front of the tail.
