Well we ran the boat down on Friday morning, it ran fantastic. We got into Olcott went and had some lunch, then we went out with Dave B and the always charming Andrea!! Dave and I needed to work the bugs out and stop feeling like we had 2 left hands in the back of the boat! Sorry no pics of the first trip. We ended up running to 4 mile and getting set up. The 3rd rod down went off and it was the first king of the year!!! Feeling like we were getting it together we finished setting up and we took 2 more kings in an hour and a half. We dropped one on the copper all the rest came on the riggers. All spoons, the fish didnt hit same thing twice.

Saturday morning- We rolled out of the Marina in the new Tall Tails boats first spring trip of 2010. Again feeling good about the previous evenings trip we ran to 4 mile and set up. The East wind was coming and we knew it would change things, and it did!! It took us an hour to get our first bite. It was a Coho, then we took a few lakers. We changed the program up a bit and took the attractors out of the water, no sooner did I do that the kings started coming!!

This was our first clipped king of the year! Notice no adipose fin. He came 55 down over 65 on a Warrior Carmel dolphin. Got set back up and we doubled on 300 coppers king on one side laker on the other. We dropped the king :( The water was changing fast with East wind as it always does. The fish were on there way back to Canada. We trolled a bit more caught some more lakers and coho's then we took this guy.

An 18pd King. All our bites were 55 and 60 down over 75 to 85 ft of water. All Warrior mag spoons. Huge Bait in the stomachs of the Coho's and NOTHING in the kings at all. Gonna be a MAG spoon kinda year!!!!!!!! It was getting snotty and we had a 14 mile run home so we left and went and got lunch. It was nice to work the bugs out and put some kings in the boat!

We will be there for 10 days starting Sat for the LOC, Pay Every Day Derby and the Scotty if you are in Olcott stop over and say hello!!

Left actually about 12 miles to the left. It is 4 mile east of the niagara river. I would imagine with the HEAVY norhwest wind we are going to recieve the next 2 days the fish maybe spread out to Wilson or beyond!
