The wood duck looks like a hybrid.

Mallards and wood ducks can and will interbreed.

Google "wood duck mallard interbreed" and you will see the results.

Nope he's a full blooded wood duck. With out a doubt. I see him everyday as he comes over for a snack. Usually gets about a foot from me.
