wire reel question...

my friend has 2 daiwa 27lc's he wants to respool them with wire...he plans on purchasing the wire from Atomic the 30lb camo 2 1000' ft reels does anyone know if this is going to be enough to fill each reel or is he going to need backing? Thanks a bunch.

I don't think you will even get the full 1000ft on a 27 with 30lb wire.

nope, 1000 feet of 30 lb wire perfectly fills a 47 size reel. The 27's are quite a bit smaller.

Question, will they be used on the finger lakes or the big O? As long as he wont be using them on Ontario where he might get a big king ripping off 100+ yards, he should be fine, just fill em up with as much wire as they can hold and use em, just make sure the wire is spooled tight.
