Well it happened. I drove past the entrance to Chimney Bluff State Park today, and its blocked off with wooden baracades with 'closed' signs attached.

If I remember correctly, this will save the state around $8,500 this year. Go figure!!

Is this a surprise to you ??? It was 1 of many closing we sportsman/women are going to HAVE to deal with because our license fees have been used for everything but the purpose they were collected for !!! :no::no::no:

Since the park consists of a parking lot, a building with restrooms, a path to the lake and bluffs, and some picnic tables, people are parking on the road and walking in. The sign says 'closed'. It doesn't say 'no trespassing'!

I imaging the restrooms are locked (that's where the big savings comes from!!), but there's plenty of dense brush around!

State land is public access.....use it....your tax dollars were supposed to pay for it.... can the state really put up no trespassing on public tax payer owned property?
