Downrigger set up?

We have an 18" Penn Yan, 3.0L I/O, 9.9 kicker on starboard corner and small cooler over swim platform. Currently we have 2 short arm Penn downriggers, one on each side. I am considering mounting a third 4 foot boom off the rear but am not sure if I'm going to end up with more of a pain than a gain. Any of you with expierence please throw your 2 cents in.

Put the 4ft boom rigger on acorner and swivel it out to the side of the boat.
