No - Lakeport was dredged in the spring and heard they had 6 feet after dredging.

Port hope was closed but heard they had a high-hoe in this week so the blow-boater could get out of the harbor into the Lake. I do not know about the public launch.

Wellington is OK and Barcovan fine. Both dredged this spring. Water is low and rising very slowly.

The Hi Ho also was used at the launch in Port Hope, so there should be no problem launching now. However, I'd check with Ed at the tackle store or restaurant as you must keep to East side when entering the lake, as opposed to the west side last year & many years past. Both Cobourg & Wicklow are fine. Hope this helps.

Wicklow is inbetween Grafton & Colborne, in the middle of nowhere. Take the #401 to grafton exit( about 7 miles east of Cobourg). Go south about 1 mile to Hwy # 2. Turn east, go about 3 miles to Wicklow Beach Rd., turn right, & follow south about 2 miles. It's a modern launch, lots of parking right there, not busy, & only 1 1/2 miles out to 100FOW. Shelter Valley creek flows into the Lake close to Chub Point( the point you see from the launch to the west ). It's a great Steelie creek & also has a good run of Cohos & Kings each fall. If you go to the east about 4 miles, you'll see the dock at Lakeport, used for lake freighters for the limestone quarry. There is some awesome structure out about 3-4 miles, which we used to fish a lot when fishing out of Brighton. It's about a 15 mile run from there. Normally great fishing there in late July/ early Aug. This is a good launch in the middle of nowhere. Well protected & a good place to fish, especially if a storm comes in, as you're not far away to run in. And there have been many derby fish caught here. And as a bonus, it's FREE launching, with portable bathrooms.Hope this will give you some insite.
