Fished NE of the red can in 200 - 250 FOW and took kings on any green colored flasher/fly rig fished 70 - 90 down. Saw RICHARD out there and he and his crew did good running a similar program in the same water.

Anyways, today I blew my coupler in my 260HP mercrusier I/O and was wondering if there were any words of wisdom for fixing it. Planning on pulling the motor tomorrow to survey the situation and figure out what parts to buy.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

You can get the parts at NAPA. Make sure the alinement is true, and that the transom isn't getting soft and allowing the out drive to move around. Its not a bad job if you have a engine hoist. lots easier than a car engine. Get spilne grease and make sure that the splines arn't worn out on the drive shaft. The wiring unplugs, the rubber boots for the exaust slip off. And out it comes . Mine is raw water cooled no antifreeze to drain. Good luck!!

Hey Diversion,

Did very similar to Richard and you in the same water till the armada arrived. Yes, we fought the one salmon for a whopping 32 minutes! Best fight I've ever had and won!
