Yamaha V4 115 hp 2 stroke problem....HELP!!!!

OK.here is the problemoooo. I just bought this boat, has the said motor, We just got everything around today to take it for its maiden run on Seneca tomorrow. The guy I purchased the boat from hooked it up to a hose so we could see everything was ok with the motor. Its sat at my house now for 3 weeks, I just hooked it up to the hose and no water coming out of the top port under the power head. I'm new to the outboard thing, we ran it at idle for two or three minutes, could the water pump be bad and he just had enough water pressure to push it through to make it look like it was working?

Any help would be appreciated...also I'm in Montery if anyone wants to help...there's beer in it....lol!

They had my 4-flat trailer connector plugged. Gotta keep the cover on that connector and make life hard for the little PIA's.

I heard .......here's your solution......get a piece of wire, kink the end a little and poke it into the offending insect jam and clear the pee hole....now check for water stream coming out ....
