Well, the plan was to fish the big pond this morning for browns but mother nature put an end to that plan. So when ya wake a kid up at 3 am to go fishing ya better get some water under his butt. We decided to hit my local lake in search of walleye. We went back to bed for a few hours and hit it around 9 am. Fished til about 1 and went 11 for 13 on eyes and a few perch as well. We trolled the new rapala troll to minnow off the boards and they produced well. Also banged some spinners on the bottom. A not so nice nice weather day on the water but the kid was in heaven.

Was on Deruyter Lake yesterday, harnesses/bouncers.

5 keepers, biggest at 19".

They surely liked one particular area.

Back to Oneida next weekend.

Cool pond Landshark. I live in Apulia Station and gave Deruyter a try yesterday PM. Made one quick troll to get the lay of the land and let the kids catch a few sunnies. Marked some nice fish though. On the harnesses, do you guys use natural blade colors or bright colors? I was surprised at how clear the water was.

I try to fish at least 18 feet of water because otherwise its hard to keep the pickeral off. I have a red and silver blade I like. Did you pull any spinners?

One on a rigger parked at about 15 feet and dritfed one for about 5 minutes on a bottom bouncer. Will work those a bit more the next time we give it a try.
