Big Jon Rigger Question

Been running the same Big Jon electric riggers for a while now. This year I am getting slippage when I hit the switch to stop. I have the knob cranked tight. Do the friction disc where out or get glazed like brakes on car? Can I rough them up some how or should I order new? Or maybe this is not the problem?

You can buy the new brass clutch tabs from big john. Real easy to change. My old big jons did the same thing and that solved the problem. I think I still have some new ones. I will check. I see you are in vestal. I am in Greene, If I can find the ones I have you can have them.

Make sure the brass clutches are tapped all the way in you may not be contacting all 3, it happens on my planners reels once in a while.
