Asian Carp

Wasn't really sure where to put this but figure it would get the most traffic here. The asian carp have made it past the electric barriers and are only 6 miles from lake Michigan. Not really sure what any of us can do but hope the gov. will do something.

This is bad news indeed,but it is being used for political purposes.This politician would like nothing better than the carp reaching Lake Michigan.That would give him a lot of political ammo.

Blaming Obama for fish swimming upriver is comparable to blaming Obama for afternoon rain.The carp came up all the way to the lake by swimming up the Missippi and they were there while Bush was president,I mean the elder.Heck they were there under Reagan.In fact King George the Fourth probably sneaked them in.

Getting rid of them is not going to happen when politicians can take advantage of this disaster in the making.

Two weekends ago driving through the channel at Sodus there were a few fish (prob 15lbs) jumping off the wake on the side of the boat. I just figured they were normal carp, but really wouldn't be all that surprised if the Asian carp were already in the lakes. They're going to get here sooner or later.

Do they eat Gobies at least?
