well I went fishing a couple days ago. It was the first trip out on the big water. Well following advice I found here we had a sucessful first trip. I have 1 down rigger. my buddy was using a home made rig that had 3 or 4 ounces of weight on it and a spoon about 8 feet behind the weights. I had the down rigger set about 80 feet deep (actually 122 but i figured it was 80 feet by the time you count the 45 degree angle) with a spoon. well I lost one, my buddy lost 2 and I landed a king. it was a great day on the lake. I was out infront of hamilton in about 140 - 160 feet of water and it was raining all day. I caught the king as the sun was setting.

Thanks for all the good info guys

WTG 700 :clap: Welcome to the site. Keep a brief log book to help yourself remember the conditions and what was successful. The numbers will begin piling up.
