SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

Out this AM with "salmon slayer" Cathy and FISHINMAN Tom. Set up in 90fow East of port running the port dipsey with a Kelly green SD and an ATOMMIK Glow Green Hammer out 240, Starbord dipsey out 180 with a green dot SD and an ATOMMIK Green Crinkle, riggers set at 70 and 90 with NK 42second and NK nbk. Trolled out to 110 when the port dipsey fires and Tom lands a nice fat 7lb Atlantic. Trolled out to 130 and same rig fires and screams out from 240 to 500+. Got him to the net, in the boat, and on the scale which bounced from 29-31lbs. Pull em up, we're headin in! Got to Narby's at 8:30 only to have Sharon inform us that you can't weigh a fish until 9:00! :o:@ Guess that means walk around the store and buy "stuff" 9:00 came about 2hrs later and the scale read....30.3lbs. Good enough for first place for an hour or so when Hank calls and says a 32lber was caught (congrats guys). Went back out to same area and mixed and mached set-ups only to hook skippy kings. All in all a good day on the water with Cath and Tom. Nice to meet Skipper at the launch and it sounded like he was doing well out deep.

Had fun even though it got slow after we weighed in. That's a beauty  (the fish that is!) and not the only big guy we saw this morning, got to meet Mark aka Skipper at the docks this morning. Man he's a big guy too :o . Anytime you need a hand lifting a trailer that's taking up 2 spots so that you can get yours in there let me know  Glad to help ya out

Thanks Tom for helping me park that guys trailer :muscle::rock: Heard you guys going in with that big fish and got jealous right away :P Man another one :o Great job on finding the kings Shawn. We had a circus out there in the 380 to 540 FOW. Mostly a Steelhead bite and a small king and a couple juveniles. We had doubles and triples and stuff tangled up and fleas all over the place. Tried to keep six rods in the water ....what a joke!..lost count of the hits and fish lost...no one out of four people on the boat was driving most of the time...boat turning around...more than one fish in a net...the copper was out 500 and it got mixed up twice with tail walking steelhead. We boxed five fish let three go back. lost countless fish on the multiple hookup circus.

We also caught more than our limit of these things :@ ....my limit of vocabulary began to decline to sacafrachabeararackin stinky little critters and a few other unmentionables about these things. Basically they caused most of the trouble with tangles with fish on. The steelies were allowed to run rampant with the lines and cross everything up while the flea picking and rod slapping was going on :dull: The 30 lb ande got it, the 20 lb fleaflicker got it, and even the rigger cables got it One cool thing was right next to the boat we had a steelhead chasing bait right out of the water and circling around on the surface after it in 540 FOW. Wish I had casting rod with a rapala on it and toss it in there like fishing for mahi mahi 8)

Again congrats on another great fish and a pleasure to meet you and Tom for few minutes there today.

Thanks guys! We tried to reach ya on the radio Skip, but it looks like you had your hands full. SC - we all know how good Tom is with directions, so the "honey hole" is safe  The fleas were terrible and quite a bit worse from Saturday.
