I've rented a boat from Mark's Leisure Time Marine on Friday. I've got family in town and promised one of them I'd take them fishing. It's a fishing boat I got, but no trolling motor, so casting the docks will be tough, but not impossible. Any other quick suggestions or updates? Will have to fish the South Side of the lake due to proximity to the marina.

the very south end near the inlet...no docks to contend with. try the weed edges and the deeper water just beyond it.

I know where you're referring to and I know about the drop offs. Over on the west side it goes deep just past the docks over there. But what to do when there?

if you run spinnerbaits deep or use a drop shot rig ya got a good shot at some smallies

I've also seen some diving cranks pulled slowly in the 20 ft range bring up some nice pike too
