I'm having a Yamaha 9.9HT kicker put on my 24.5' Lund I/O. I will be mounting it on a Panther Model 35 power lift (tilt) bracket. I was going to use an E-Z Steer set up. I am also replacing my steering cable because it needs it. A suggestion has been made that I use a dual steering cable/helm since I'm replacing the cable/helm anyway. In this system two cables come from the helm, one to the I/O and one to the kicker. Apparently, a similar set up was/is used on the similar sized Crestliners that have the built in kicker pocket. I was hoping that this system would be less problematic that the E-Z Steer and two tilting motors. Anyone have any experience with the dual cable set up?
