I have a cannon mag ten ts. The line counter is way off has anyone else had this ploblem? I also have a mag ten manual and the line counter works fine with the depth finder

The counter on those riggers can easily be re-set. It more than likely just slid out of place. The re-set it just slide it out away from the housing and dial it back to zero then put it back in place making sure that the gears line up with those on the rigger.

It isnt the reset i checked that. If im down say 85 feet on my cannon ts downrigger my fishfinder will say its like 97 feet, I can see the ball on the screen. my other manual downrigger will be at the same depth that shows on the fishfinder screen

line counter is skipping....either the shim to the pin on the line counter side is no good our ur missing some teeth on the inner gear that the line counter attaches to....i had the same problem couple yrs ago....just replaced the parts works good now....

Also the amount of line or dia of wire on spool will make big diff .also when you retrive is the line gathering on one side that might Increase the diameter that will give counter inaccurate reading like yer getting .?? make shure line is passing through weight hook for best line laying on the spool ...you can remove the gear and counter and swap to see if it s the counter before shelling out the 25 bucks

Is the transducer for the fish finder on the opposite side of the boat for the rigger that's reading deep? It could also be the angle of the dangle and blow back. Not a problem with the counter.
