Launch from Keuka Lake State Park about 6am. Loads and loads of weeds at the launch so I figured the pods of weeds were going to be horrible. Left the dock and headed south only to find some weeds so I moved out to 160 FOW with no weeds and some good marks. 200' copper down the chute with green dolphin SD and big Weenie cornbread took the first hit before the 2nd rod was even set up. Ended up dropping the fish about 50' back. Got the copper back out and downrigger set at 65' with green dot SD and A-TOM-MIK hammer fly. Set it in the holder, sat down and the rigger was firing. Ended up 1 for 1 on the rigger and 2 for 3 on the copper. Copper took 3 hits with no hookups. Off the water by 8:30 when the jet ski and pleasure boaters started to ventured out. Surface temp was 76* and down temp was 45* at 65'.
