====================

Went solo today. Ran straight out to 170 FOW in front of port then trolled east and moved into 150 FOW. Moved along for 2 hours playing chicken with the packs of sail boats going the opposite direction. Couldn't move a rod. Tried spoons, sliders and different paddle fly combos off the riggers and nada. Well after what looked like a good screen for part of the ride and no fish I decide to try a different area but the west troll was a little rough and I wnted to make the best of the morning time. I picked up everything and ran west to set up in front of Johnsons in 170 FOW. Bloody Death went down and immediately went off but nobody home. back down and the other side gets the mountain dew spiny and mirage fly. Both combos were taking hits as I moved into deeper water 250 on out to 300 and moving northeast again. Trouble was the fish were hitting short and after several knockoffs and a lost fish I was wondering if maybe I was a little fast so I slowed down to 2.3 and started getting hooked up better. Finally ended up getting a 5 lb steelhead and then a 16 lb king in the last hour near 300 FOW. Both went on ice because the cold water was down over 100 feet and there was a large column of warm water coming up and I could not get them to revive.
