SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

====================

Three rod set up, one wire and two riggers 60 and 100 fow.

King took to be named nk spoon off 60' rigger over 150 fow.

Despite the severe thunderstorm warnings, I studied the noaa radar and saw the bands forming 10 miles below the shoreline. I took my co worker for fishing. He grew up in Ottawa, Canada and has never fought the kings.

The lake was all sky blue and we were amazed by the sight of cloud formations south of the shoreline.

Screen looked good at 100 fow then it became blank until I reached 150 and saw tight band of bait down 60 and 80 fow.

It was quiet until right after the sun has set, the rigger rod fired and my favorite fenwick rod with daiwa 47lca was bending down as it was pulled by the king. I immediately hooked it and gave to my buddy. Good 15 mins fight before he boated his first king.

King was abt 22 to 24 lbs. Released successfully. Now he's hooked for kings.
