TRIP OVERVIEW I finally hooked a salomon on a Dipsey diver rig. It jumped twice and looked great. But what a nightmare trying to handle the 8 foot rod,magnum Dipsey and the net by myself in my shallow 14 foot tin boat. The fish was boat side but just wouldn't wait for me to get organized. I bought a down rigger this afternoon.

Been there and done that!!! Don't give up on the dipsie!!! They fish different that a rigger. Some days all the hits will be on the dipsie and others a mix.

I agree completely this winter I bought two riggers thinking I was missing out on fish and all this year all my fish came on the dipsy
