Hey Guys

Just found out that traxstech has reincarenated the the vector rodholder for scottys. part# SCT RH1. Not posted in their online catolog yet but they have them

I just put 6 of the traxstech (vector style) holders on track on my boat. They are selling them with the adapter plate for track for $60 a piece for 2010. If you are thinking of getting some I would buy before the price goes up.

I would wait until Spring and order the new adjustable rod holder that the new Scotty's will come with. Why? Simple....from the bridge this past weekend I watched a brand new Saltist/Heartland combo shoot out of a Vector holder when it decided to just adjust itself all the way down. This was not the first time I have watched these holders do this either. They look nice, and their functionality is great, but there dependability isn't there. I know of a few other boats who have had problems with them breaking also.

Good thing I keep tight releases! I got everything back, so it wasn't a total loss.

As Yankee says I've had similar horror stories with mine. But since talking w/ the people at Traxstech they have reassured me that they have upgraded and improved a great product in the old Vector rod holders.

OK, thanks Rich, for the heads up on the new Scotty holders. I would like to see if there is some improvement in the Vectors if someone can verify the design change, that would be great.

Just recieved the new rodholders yesterday. Now there is a spring loaded pin to lock in the vertical adjustment. Will try them out next weekend and will try to post a picture of rodholder later.
