SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

Had a hard time finding cold water the best I could find was 54 degrees out in 300 ft of water down 120'. Caught one nice one but didn't have my scale with me. Anyone want to take a guess at what you think it might of weighed, this was my son's first big king. We released it and he took off like a rocket which I was sort of surprised. I had the net ready in case he went belly up but as soon as he hit the water he was gone. Just started back into Salmon fishing and not sure why I ever quit lol definitely got my blood pumping.

My Son is 6 Ft and 240 lbs, I wanted him to hold the fish out but he had it against his waist. He said it was to heavy to hold out in front of him.

I need to get my digital scale from my other house and keep it on the boat. Thanks for everyones replies.
