Big Jon Rigger Problem

I have a big Jon rigger that trips the circuit breaker when I'm retrieving a 12LB ball and probe. It's an older rigger but the problem just started. Could it be a simple fix? Brushes? lubricatiion? Thanks Rick

Try using bigger wire like 10 gauge, could be brushes, if you leave them outside maybe condensation in the motor, may have to take apart dry good and reseal.

Make sure the drive worm gear is well lubricated. If it dries out, it will cause the motor to over torque, thus popping the breaker.
