SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

Guys, I am headed to the Lake to fish the 8th-10th and would like to target some bigger fish including salmon. Coming from Eastern NY and usually fish Oswego as it is the closest point. I am towing a 20' lund so I can fish anywhere. Where do you recommend for the best action, the Oak or Olcott? Oswego sounds pretty bad right now.

My home port is Olcott, but from the reports, it looks like the Oak is the place to be right now.

Appreciate the info! Now I need someone familiar with that area to give me some advice on a good place to stay, good places to eat and what boat ramp I should favor as I have never been there before. You know how it is learning a new area or town and I would rather not learn it the hard way.
