Just wanted to drop a line and say thanks to all those anglers that gave me some guidance and direction on this website. I have boated fish the last four times I have been out. This is a pic of last nights catch. We caught one on a downrigger at 80' on a purple/black spoon. The other one was caught on a Dipsy 210' of line out w/green A-Tom-Mik fly. We were fishing 90-120 FOW trolling 1.8-2.2 knots with the current.

I do not have equipment to give me my down speed... if I want to maintain the same presentation when I troll back against the current do I need to adjust my speed up or down?

you can watch your wire rod bend and try to mimic it when you change direction and pay attention to downrigger cable angle too, that can help you maintain speed that you were successful at, I usually troll faster than most but 1.9 -2.4 downspeed was good for me on Canandaigua lake this past Saturday
