I have been trolling into the current because I thought that was the propper direction. I read a post or two that give the impression everyone else trolls with the current to their back.

Which is the correct or easier method?

Do you need to make speed adjustments based on the direction of troll to compensate for the current?

Thanks.

If I'm by myself I'll fish with the wind at my back makes it easier to control boat. Bang a fish or two and I'll go back thru and will have to add gas going into the wind. Seneca flow is south to north so IF there isn't any wind your bait/lure would be going faster on a north troll direction. Some times east , west works also. Don't just figure to troll in only one direction all the time you will miss out.

I alway seem to do better trolling into the current. Best way to make sure your lures are kicking.
