Was up to Chaumont from 8/12 - 8/15 for the Nick Bergman Memorial Derby. Fishing tough to say the least. Pre-fished Friday with nice waters and only managed one 3.5lb smallmouth from Guffin. There was one group of boats off the north side of Cherry Island perch fishing, but didn't see much action from them. Saturday and Sunday were blow off days for me with very strong winds. The Derby winners on Saturday were a 4.6 smallmouth and a 4.4 largemouth, not real big fish, but the conditions were horrible. All in all the Derby was a success though, a good time with a lot of money raised for the Galisano Childrens Hospital
