Got on the water around 5:30 pm, motored across the lake (to the westside) and fish just north of Starkey point. Picked up a three lakers on the copper biggest one around 22 inches. Fished until dark and lost three more on the riggers. We fished around 65-85 fow and marked an incredible amount of bait and fish. Spoons seemed to do the trick with fish hitting the alpena diamond in rainbow color, and also black, white, silver. A couple weeks ago it seemed like the trout and salmon wanted nothing but spinnys/ dodgers and flies, its amazing how their appetites can change so drastically!
