need engine and drive

I'm looking to buy an engine and a drive for a boat that i'm restoring.It has to be at least a 5.7 Mercruiser or Volvo, and be in excellent condition.The drive would also have to be in great shape.

I'm looking at new complete packages,and may have to end up going that way,but would like to save a few bucks if i could buy a very good used setup.

If anyone has one or even a boat that may be damaged,but with a good engine and drive,i'd be interested in hearing from you.

Dear John R, I have a 5.7 Vortec Engine circa 1998 (4-bolt mains)built from Super HD parts. GM Forged Crank, Forged Coated Pistons, Forged Rods, balanced, flywheel, new hyd roller cam & new hydraulic roller lifters. Alum. Vortec Intake, mercruiser thunderbolt IV ignition (Std. Rotation Engine) suitable for I/O applications. 3500.00 (4000 in parts alone) June Price. call me if you are interested.
