SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS

====================

Started off the day with our dipsy getting hammered (about 7:30am) by a nice king which ran about 150 yards and right under a neighboring boat, then broke us off after it got wrapped in the other guys riggers (our buddy rich none the less)! This fish hit on our dipsy rigged with a green and white spinny followed by a green atomik, back 325 ft on the 1.5 setting. About 25 minutes later our downrigger released and the fight was on! This fish felt like a monster and after about 12 minutes and 700 feet of mono he completely spooled us :@ !! So after losing two BIG kings and a bunch of gear you could say our morning wasn't the best but at least we were on some fish :yes: .

Throughout the morning we landed of few small cohos (both around 18 inches) and one small king ( 24 inches). These fish hit a green glo magnum NBK and our go to set up the green white spinny trailed by a green atomik.

A couple hours later, around 2:00, the waves really started pounding us and we considered pulling up... then our rigger fired and i grabbed the rod. The fish felt heavy and i knew it was a decent king, after a couple awesome runs we netted the fish and it was an impressive 28 pound female king! This fish hit the green glo NBK, off our rigger down about 85 foot, we were in 200 fow, traveling west at 2.0 mph.

All in all it was a good day in Sodus with some steady action. We used a lot of different fly combos and spoons but all the action was on anything GREEN/GLO/SILVER! We will see you next weekend Sodus! ;)
