Got out yesterday around 5:00pm, we started on the west side just north of Long point. We immediately marked good fish/ bait in 75-90 FOW and ran our usual set up, 2 dipsys w/ spoons, one rod per rigger (3) with two running spoons and one with our secret dodger fly combo! We also ran our copper back 250-275 ft with a black and purple spoon. The copper landed two nice lakers within the first ten minutes, the next hour or so was intense.... we had two doubles, one on the dipsy/ rigger, we landed a decent laker off the rigger but lost the dipsy fish (which seemed like a good one). The next double was on the riggers and we landed both which were two smaller lake trout. From five to 8:00 we landed about ten fish and lost a couple, most fish came on the riggers off the evil eye spoons and some NKs. Our last fish was a beautiful brown just over six pounds... this fish hit our silver evil eye with a orange strip across the middle 85 foot behind our ball which was down 65 foot over 70-75 FOW. Its amazing we landed the fish, it was tangled in just about every line we had out! We try to release all the fish we catch but this brown had some serious damage to its gills and eye so it went inot the cooler.

The fishing is awesome on seneca! Ive been trying to get out 4-5x a week, and with just using simple techniques we are landing good numbers of fish in a short period time.

The weeds are hit an miss... i found that after these nice weekends the weeds tend to increase, i think its due to the boat traffic.

Yep that's been the story right along with a south wind both side will be a problem with a south west the east side will plug up about 8:30am to 9:30am and most of the west side will be OK but in and around points it will be ???? iffy at best.................

yes you are right the prevailing south west winds usually push the weeds onto our side, we motor to the west side and its a lot better. The fishing over there seems better also especially between Glenora point and starkey. I would label that spot our honey hole!!
