Fished Wed afternoon to try out some new downrigger balls. fished from 1:30 -3:00. Caught one 2 rainbows, one just over 5lbs. fished the middle of the lake around Pelican point Marina. One rain bow on the slider with the ball parked a 70 and the other on the wire out 175 with sd/fly.

9/2 got out at 6am and fished till 8:15 and landed 4 lakers all in the 20-22" range. fished the north end, found lots of bait on the bottom in 85fow. 2 lakers on the wire and 2 on sutton 44 and 71. lots of marks in the 150-200 fow 60-100 down but just could get anything going so thats when I went in to 85fow.

9/3 fished from 6:30-10 went 4 for 6 with a line screamer lost shortly after the rod exchange, lakers were from 18"-25" and not one of them I knew I had on. started in the 85fow on the north end and all the bait was gone. I didn't spend much time looking for it though. moved out to the middle and fished the 175-200 fow of tons of marks again in the 60-100 range. fish on the riggers were 80-90 down and the wire set at 215. The fish must getting ready to spawn, not one release the downrigger of even tripped the dipsey. each one just felt like weeds. nothing in any of there stomachs either. btw the fleas were back and lots of weeds!

Hey Brett, I really don't like to pass a rod, more times than not you drop

that Pelican Point area is good for the bows
