Skaneateles rainbows

Hey all, has anyone been up to Skinny lately? We're heading up in the morning, just wondering about the surface temp and whether the 'bows are up toward the top yet.

duane, how did you make out? i wish i had info for you. i know the surface temps were hovering around 68-70 last week when i was out there. hope you got into some fish. best, mark

Haven't gotten any rainbows, but been killing the lakers. Not too big but still fun. Go straight out from the public launch to the middle of the lake, head north about 1000ft. .... turn around and troll south. tons of fish. Seen lots of bait in the 20-30 ft range

I've heard the Skinny Lakers are just that. How big can they get?

We didn't find any rainbows.. forgot to take a thermometer with me, but the water felt quite warm! I'm sure it was too warm for them to be up toward the top, so we tried trolling streamers and spinners with snap weights also, but still no rainbows. We did pick up some nice bass and a few perch, so at least we didn't get totally skunked. Beautiful morning to be out, anyway.
