Mounting multiple transducers???

hey guys, i have an HDS-5 with navionics chip and all the mapping i need. i was thinking about adding an HDS-5x(just the sonar unit). that way i can run my map chip or lake insight map on the gps unit and sonar on the 5x. ill call it the poor mans HDS-10!! id also like the option of running both units in sonar mode with two different frequencies. can i do that without interference problems. can both transducers be mounted on my same transom plate or would it be better to have one on each side of the motor? thanks alot, mark

you should be ok running 2 transducers on different frequencies

i run my 1197 and my x4. both different freq and no interference
