OK, I have tried simple green, all house hold cleaners and a pressure washer to no avail. I own a 19 smokercraft ultima. The boat has a brownish stain from fishing some lakes at home. Does anyone know of a good cleaner for alum. boats that will take this stain off of the hull and make the boat look clean again.

Thanks for all the help.

My neighbor let me try a product he uses on his fiberglass Fountain. I tried it on my Islander and it takes that brown scum right off. It's called Sno-Bol. It's a toilet bowl cleaner, of all things. Wipe it on, let it sit about a minute, then wipe it off. Doesn't seem to remove the paint either.

I use a product called Alumiprep. You can find it at Automotive paint stores. You will need to dilute it with water. I also use it on my galvanized trailer stains. A simple spray without scrubbing and they are gone.

Is the alumiprep ok on painted surfaces? I tried the sno-bol and it did not work. Maybe it is just stubern. I will try it again this weekend. It did take off the surface grime but did not touch the stain.
