There was a new buoy deployed yesterday about 1/2 mile west of Olcott Harbour, 600 feet off shore marking NOAA's water level intake. The intake is a 10" pipe, approx 13 feet below the surface. The buoy is white with orange stripes, 6' tall, unlit. The water level can be found at GLakesOnline.NOS.NOAA.gov. Good luck fellow anglers.
