Billy you beat me to it by a few minutes, I was just about ready to post this too. Anyone else think this is weird? Doesn't seem right to me - a bit of spite maybe?

Actually, I've never respected Grannis more than I do now. Just another example of the dysfunction of NY government. All the guy did was simply share how these cuts would "gut" an already thin dept, one that he is held accountable for. Yes, it has become a very socialist state. And another career politician leads the polls in NY.

I'm gonna go hang a couple tree stands.

It is funny that this all comes down with less than 2 weeks till election time. If anyone does not think this is a political ploy of some kind I have some land to sell you. It is BS on steroids. Hang your stands Vince, while you still can.

The new gov will make a change anyway, but too bad for Pete, he has been around a long time though, & should retire to enjoy more time for his recreation.

new blood is not always a bad thing.

This is just more power & control being wielded but our clueless NYS goverenment. I just hope Pete doesn't sue us over this knee jerk reaction, cause it will be expensive for the NY taxpayer (leagal fees & the humongus settlement to Pete for their stupidity).

Pretty funny that Pete was receiving awards for achievement at the time of the firing, seems like the NYS government continues to show poor judgement.

Guess they can't handle the truth, just like NPR canning Williams!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one realizes how bad New York State and its financial situation is. It is essentially bankrupt and soon the banks will stop cashing the checks as there are no moneys left in the accounts. Worse yet is with all the layoffs and cutbacks, less revenues will come in. The house of cards we call Albany has fallen down and things are going to get worse. No matter what scheme the goofs in Albany come up with, less revenues to the State come in. Now deal with it.

Exactly right Jimski. This is yet another sign that every program that we love, that makes sense and lots of money for the state,is in jeopardy.

As for the windmills, I have found it eerily odd that the DEC has been so silent on the GLOW proposals. The proponents go about their business as if there are no environmental hammers that could come down on them.

Please, please, lets shock the world and put the businessman in Albany.
