What time of year is best bite? I heard this time of year the fish really go nuts feeding in prep of winter

I may make a pike trip to my spring hotspot and try. These salmonfish are getting boring

been fishing the henderson/chuamont area for the last few weeks and pounding them... as soon as the temps get into the 50's (already done) you can start targeting them with stick baits off boards.
