I've been out in some rough weather and waters with it but never measured the waves. I was able to stay out while others couldn't. It has a 18* variable deadrise and does handle well. I put the Minn Kota Riptide on for a four wheel drive type of control in the waves and wind. The Minn Kota is wireless remote or foot controlled as well as copilot and auto - pilot. 85 lbs. thrust.
