Sodus Bay

I was wondering if anyone can give me an update on the ice condition on Sodus.

When do you think It will be safe to ice fish.

I noticed today that the bay was covered with ice. I wouldn't think its safe to go out on yet.

Heard today that there is a solid 4"+ around the islands and at the south end. I'll be heading out Friday am for some hard water action!!

Most not be good ice along Grassy Point, everyone that has gone out to see has come back to shore very quickly! I watch from my window with the phone in hand waiting to call 911.

Fished southeast of Eagle Island today. Nothing much doing but dinks.

Ice seems to be a pretty solid 3 to 4 inches. But be careful out there.

Fished the west side of LeRoy Island on Friday and only iced about a dozen keeper perch and no pike to speak of. Pretty slow. We tried Port Bay today at the south end with no luck (only a few dink perch). Heading back to Sodus Wednesday...
