Just returned from western NY. We spent two mornings breaking ice to get our boat to open water but we had a fun shoot. Limited out the first morning and got ten more the second. longline rigs worked well shooting out of the boat. Season ends today!

I've hunted those little noise makers before. Shot a few good drakes for the wall, but I could Never get them to taste good so I stopped shooting them. Do you have a recipie for them? Me and My buddies Did very well on cans, red heads and bills. Probably the best season in ten years. Congrats on the squaws....they are fun to shoot.

Mine are soaking in salt water also. If they still turn out not very tasty I'll either turn them into sausage, sticks, or corn them like corned beef. I use goose like that when I have a lot and they turn out good. Did you get the Cans and Redhead in the Finger Lakes?
