I've used every release they have available for the great lakes & none of them stayed on the boat a season. Then came the Chamberlain Release which both my mate & I love. We've used the Chamberlain since it came out, I think 4 years now.

He sells them and I have also seen them at the Bass Pro in Auburn. I always buy the stacker release and make two regualr ones out of it. Back to back Capt Jax releases make the best stacker release going. Just clamp the one on the rigger cable tighter than the mono. Works well on the coated cable too.

bigjohns rubber band release, you don`t have to invent anything new.

my buddy says my rubber bands are only good for one thing, holding

his fishing maps together.

I have tried blacks and chamberlains but went back to rubberbands. I do have a blacks over my probe but its set real tight and I run the rubberband out of it.

Where do you get the Jacks? Saw them in Fish Doctors videos but haven't seen them in any shops.

There are a few places like Jeff said, I get mine at Bass Pro. If you want to try em make sure you change the pads to offshore pads, they will last twice as long. They also take awhile to break in, so I try to break in a bunch of pads every spring!
