Hi !

Want to pick temp/speed at the ball this winter . Was wondering where the best place to mount the display would be .

On the dash or back by the riggers ? (18'boat)

Thanks JT

I have my sub-T display on the dash of my 18 ft'r &. I'd suggest putting the display where the person controlling the speed can easily see it.

I've run them both places on different boats. A lot of it depends where you spend the most time. If you spend alot of time rigging and you have to rely on different boat operators and different skill levels you may want to have the display where you can see changes in speed rather quickly as well as temp. changes at the lure. If your behind the wheel alot of the time than the dash is optimum. Nothing beats a GOOD boat driver. You're gonna lover your X4!

I like mine on the dash, far enough over so I can see it from the back. The display on the X-4 is big enough so I can read it from both places.

It realy is easy to read from quite some distance, once you get used to it and how it works you, a glance once in a while is all you need. When your trying to get things right your normaly in the drivers seat, at least I am so thats where mine is.

yup, the large numbers on my Depth Raider display mounted on the dash are easily seen from the back of the boat. Looks like the X4 is the same. The Sub Troll analog speed display is huge and easily seen but the digital temp display is pretty small.
